Lena Delta, Russia
The Lena is one of the three great Siberian rivers that flow into the Arctiv Ocean. At the end of the Lena River there is a large delta that extends 100 kilometres (62 mi) into the Laptev Sea and is about 400 km wide. Frozen for the majority of the year, the area transforms into a lush wetland every spring.
